The Trippy Chicken is a conceptual food truck brand inspired by 90's colors and patterns, German expressionism, hand-drawn characters/type, and sustainability. The overall purpose of this packaging design was to create a brand that would not only stand out but reduce the use of single-use plastic. Can to-go packaging be sustainable and how do you go about creating that?
To the side, you'll find the box patterns from the ideation phase to the vector images. These zany patterns were meant to bring in the 'trippy' elements to the brand. The patterns were built to play off the yellow paper packaging and each package would showcase a different pattern to keep the brand looking fresh.
3D working of how the box would look and open in the real world. Also explored what packaging would look like for sidedishes such as fries or fried pickles.
